Buying surplus wire & cable across Indiana — reels, spools, coils and overstock

Electrical Wire Buyers Indiana

How it works

Selling surplus wire in Indiana, step by step

Three steps, one review, and a clear answer. The process is built for sellers who have wire sitting in a warehouse and no appetite for a long negotiation.

  1. 1. Submit details and photos

Use the quote form on this page or any category page. Describe the wire type, metal, gauge or MCM, voltage, conductor count, approximate footage or reel count, condition and packaging. Add the city and ZIP where the wire sits.

  2. 2. Receive review and quote

We read the jacket legend and tags, check the material against what we can place, and quote a price. If something is unclear, the reply names exactly which photo or detail is missing.

  3. 3. Coordinate next steps

When a quote is accepted we agree on loading, pickup or freight, timing and paperwork. Smaller lots can move by LTL; larger loads are collected by truck.

Photos do most of the work

A single clear photo of a reel tag can remove five follow-up questions. Phone photos are fine; they just need to be sharp enough to read the print.

  • Overall shot of each reel, spool or stack
  • Close-up of the printed cable markings and jacket legend
  • Reel tag, label or manufacturer sticker
  • Wire ends showing conductor metal and stranding
  • Cartons or coils, including anything opened or re-taped

Avoid photos that only show a pile in shadow. If the legend is not readable in the photo, it will not be readable in the review either.

Accepted loads are staged for dock pickup or LTL freight, whichever suits the quantity.

What happens to your photos

Photos are used to identify the wire and to decide whether it is a fit. They are kept with the quote record so that a second conversation about the same lot does not start from zero.

We do not publish seller photos, company names or quantities, and we do not resell contact details. The privacy notice explains the details.

When a load is not accepted

Some material is not a fit: badly degraded jacket, unidentifiable cable, mixed scrap with no readable markings, or quantities too small to move economically. When that happens we say so directly and explain what would make the load work.

If the material has no service life left, a scrap metal processor is usually the better route. We would rather point you there than waste your time on a quote that cannot happen.

Start with the details you already have

Send the wire type, size, quantity and a few photos. We review every submission and reply with a buying decision or a request for more detail.

  • Photos speed up review more than anything else
  • Cable markings, jacket legends and reel tags help us identify the product
  • No obligation and no cost to submit

What you have

Photos

Most useful: whole reels or spools, the printed cable markings and jacket legend, reel tags and labels, and a clear photo of the wire ends. Phone photos are fine.

Submitting this form does not commit you to sell and does not guarantee a purchase. We review condition, identification and quantity before quoting.
